I’m excited to work with these talented, passionate students on The Talon newspaper. I earned a BA with a double major in English/Education with a minor in journalism before teaching journalism and advising my first staff in 1985. I earned an MFA in Creative Writing in 2010, and I’m a Certified Journalism Instructor and member of the Journalism Education Assoc. I serve on the boards of both SC Scholastic Press Assoc. and the Southern Interscholastic Press Association.
