Band teacher Andrew Krieger joined the Nation Ford faculty this year with a passion for connecting and bonding with his students through music.
With the busy schedule every day, Krieger, it’s difficult for him to find the time to do what he likes, but when he does find the time, he enjoys many activities, including fixing cars, riding motorcycles, and playing video games with his son.
Before Krieger became a teacher, he worked on drag race cars and drag raced competitively.
Formerly a teacher at Springfield Middle School, Krieger decided to join the Nation Ford family because he admires the staff and students.
“My time here at Nation Ford has been so wonderful due to the wonderful staff and students that I get to work with every day,” Krieger said.
Krieger says he had extraordinary teachers and band directors growing up which inspired him to become a teacher.
Growing up in Fort Mill, Krieger played soccer throughout his middle and high school years. As his passion for music grew, he decided to attend the University of South Carolina where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education.
Krieger is married with a son and daughter, and he has two huge dogs, a golden retriever and a German shepherd.
